Katie is a Business Analyst with 22 years of IT experience. In the last 3 years, Katie has been working as an IT Business Analyst primarily in pre-sales focusing on early engagement with stakeholders to generate project proposals and business cases as a generalist technologist. She prides herself with ensuring that her work decisions are conducted fairly, consistently and unbiased. Her early career post-graduation was spent with a niche software house as a Implementation and Software Engineer specialising in Human Resource Management systems migration, project delivery, customisation, implementation and early life support.
In February 2015 she was selected as Head of Service Transition for a three-year contract due to her ability to make decisions without bias which was a key requirement to the role as she worked with two of the three major service providers to the customer. She held this role for one year before returning to return to her previous role in IT Release Governance a role in which she excelled due to her attention to detail, technical understanding and ability to translate technical into non-technical language
Katie also undertakes in her spare time technical reviews of book proposals and manuscripts for a British publishing house. She is involved in education as a volunteer Undergraduate mentoring.
Katie holds ITIL V3.0 and 4.0 Foundation certifications, ITIL V3.0 Service Strategy, Design, Transition and Operations Intermediate certifications. She is also PRINCE2 foundation certified and holds the BCS Business Analysis Diploma. She also has an MA in IT Management and BSc (Hons) in Engineering
