Sara Bhatia, is a senior secondary student at one of the prestigious schools in the National Capital Region of Delhi, India. Also, she is a young member of Conscious Enterprises Network. As a conscious leader in the making, she recognises the importance of waste management to reduce air, soil, and water pollution. In the housing society she lives in, she has joined a volunteer group dedicated to waste management. 
Imagine a world where every discarded item finds a new purpose, transforming refuse into a resource. Sara, a beacon of change in refuse management, embodies this vision. With a steadfast belief in sustainability, Sara participates in a pioneering project to recycle dry waste, turning the tide against pollution and waste mismanagement. Her initiative reduces environmental footprint and champions community involvement, demonstrating the power of collective action.​

​Using innovative recycling thinking, Sara sets a sterling example of eco-conscious entrepreneurship. Her story is a testament to the impact one individual can have on the planet, inspiring a ripple effect of positive change. 

Through her experience, Sara learned that segregating waste into recyclables, organic waste, hazardous materials, and general waste is essential for effective waste management and a cleaner lifestyle. Segregation ensures that materials remain clean and can be appropriately recycled while facilitating the management of organic waste through composting and preventing hazardous materials from harming the environment. Waste management also encourages individuals to be more responsible and mindful consumers.

​Sara recognises the significance of dry waste, which can make up more than half of total waste. She aspires to establish a company that collects and recycles dry waste, recognising that proper disposal can help reduce soil pollution. Soil pollution can leak harmful chemicals into the soil, making the food grown in it dangerous for consumption.
Additionally, waste can harm animals such as cows, dogs, and cats, who may mistake it for food. By segregating waste, we can collectively build a safer, cleaner planet for future generations.

​Sara's journey underlines one of the core missions of Conscious Enterprises Network: to foster a global movement towards sustainability and conscious living. Conscious Enterprise Network is honoured to participate in this project, providing mentoring assistance to her.
